Air tickets for the DV Lottery winners will not be provided by the American Government or by its agencies. The entire American visa lottery DV-2012 or DV-2013 winners must reserve, pay and buy their own air tickets to travel to the USA to receive their Green Card. If you read the DV lottery instructions well, you can notice this information there.

The American Government will provide only the required visas for the DV-2012 and DV-2013 winners once the consular officer decides that they meet all the required requirements to be issued with the visas at their interview. They will not issue accommodation (House, rooms or lodging), Jobs (You have to find suitable jobs for you by your self or agencies) or travel facilities like free air ticket. According to the instructions all the expenses must be met by the DV Lottery winner for him and his/her dependants.

If you are a DV 2012 winner or DV 2013 American visa lottery program winner and if you come from Iran or Mauritius and if you have to fly to another country to face the DV Lottery interview when you receive the second letter for the interview, you must buy your own air ticket to fly to the near by country to face the interview. In this case you have to buy the air ticket for you and your dependants too even though you are not sure whether you will get the visas or not.
Never buy your air ticket before you were issued with the necessary visas, as some time at the American visa lottery interview you may refund of the required visas if you don't meet the eligibility requirements. And when you try to refund the un-used air ticket the airline or the travel agent may deduct a lot of money as cancellation fee. In the case of the air ticket which was booked in the internet you will not see any of your money as the internet air ticket won't refund you at all if you cancel your air ticket.

If you like you can make reservation with out paying to the airline or to the travel agent.

Also take note direct flight to the USA are expensive as the one with more transit will be cheaper to fly to the USA. Once you had got the visas then you can book or reserve your air ticket to the USA through the internet where it is very cheap but you have to pay more money for the luggage than the regular travel agent booked air ticket.

The DV2012 visa lottery program has closed its web for accepting entries.

DV2013 American visa lottery program will provide DV2013 Application forms for 32 days from October to November 2011.

DV-2013 visa lottery results will be available in May 2012.

Interviews for the DV-2013 will commence on 01st of october 2012.

DV-2013 will close officially on 30th September 2013 and there after no one can benefit from the winning of the dv2013 visa lottery program.
