DV 2012. The Diversity visa lottery program which is popularly known as Green card lottery in the U.S is administrated by the U.S State Department and operated by the KCC every year. This program is designed by the U.S Government to issue 50,000 permanent resident visas to those people who are natives of the countries, which are sending less people legally to the U.S.A. The visa lottery program is governed by simple but strict rules where the participants must meet the required eligibility as per the DV Lottery instructions. Also an eligible person can submit only one entry as primary applicant for this annually held U.S visa lottery program through the online DV lottery application form.

DV lottery 2012 will accept entries from eligible people in the later part of this year 2010. The American Government’s one and only online DV lottery web site will provide the online application form to submit the entry for the DV2012 visa lottery. The application form is officially mentioned as E-DV entry form in the DV Lottery instructions. The application form will be available for a period of 60 days in the American Government’s official dv lottery web site this year. After the entry submission period is over, computers in the KCC will select nearly 100,000 people as winners and will notify them to proceed with the winning. The DV lottery results will be announced to the selected winners in the months of May to July 2011 through the postal mail.

KCC in Kentucky, U.S.A will look after the computer random draw to select the winners from the submitted eligible entries, announcing the winners through the postal mail and informing the winners about the visa interview date.

Winners who get the winning notification will not be guaranteed that they will be issued with the American Immigrant visas right away. Instead they will have to face an interview by paying a non refundable visa fee and diversity processing fee of US$755 to the US Embassy in their country. Visas will be issued from October 2011 till 30th September 2012 for the DV-2012 program for those who proof their eligibility at the interview. Those people in the America and who are selected as green card lottery winners can contact the USCIS office to change their current status to the LPR status when their case numbers are current in a given month.

At the midnight on 30th September 2012 the DV-2012 U.S visa lottery program will be closed officially. After this date no one will be allowed to get visas under this fiscal 2012 year program or no one will be allowed to change their status to U.S LPR status under this 2012 fiscal year U.S visa lottery program.
DV 2012 US Visa Lottery will accept application forms in the year 2010.
