Affidavit of Support.
DV 2012 visa lottery winners must provide Affidavit of Support in the form of I-134 to be issued with the U.S Immigrant visa. The Petitioner must be an American citizen or an American LPR status holder and has to sign the I-134 in front of authorized official. The I-134 form should be hand covered on the day of the interview to the interviewing consular officer by the DV Lottery winner along with the necessary papers. If the Affidavit of support is not provided by the DV Lottery winner the visa processing will be delayed.
The DV Lottery instructions clearly state that the DV Lottery winner must provide an affidavit of support to issue with the required visa other than the normal requirements.
Those who don't have sponsor person or can't provide affidavit of support can their own sponsorship.
To proof this they must have enough funds to survive in the USA.
Must have on arrival job and it should be certified from the USA.
Most of all these should be satisfy the interviewing consular official to issue the immigrant visa.
Those winners in the USA too must meet this Affidavit of support requirement.
Some consular offices wants I-864 instead of I-134.
There is no fee to submit the Affidavit of Support.
