DV 2012. The Diversity visa lottery which is also called as Green card lottery is administrated by the US State Department and operated by the KCC. This program is conducted by the US Government to issue 50,000 permanent resident visas to people from countries which sends less people legally to the USA. The program is governed by simple but strict rules where the participants must meet the required eligibility as per the DV Lottery instructions. An eligible person can submit only one entry as primary applicant for this annually held US visa lottery program.
DV lottery 2012 will accept entries from eligible people in the later part of this year 2010. The American Government’s one and only online web site will provide the online application form to apply. The application form is mentioned as E-DV entry form in the DV Lottery instructions. And the results will be announced to the selected winners in the year 2011 May to July. Computer random draw is used to select the winners from the submitted eligible entries at the KCC, Kentucky in the U.S.A.
Winners who get the winning notification will not be guaranteed that they will be issued with visas right away. Instead they will have to face an interview by paying a non refundable visa fee and diversity processing fee of US$755 at the US Embassy. Visas will be issued from October 2011 till 30th September 2012 for the DV-2011 program. Those people in the America who are selected as green card lottery winners can contact the USCIs office to change their current status to the LPR status when their case numbers are current.
